Perhaps the reason generating leads is so intimidating is because, in many cases, leads directly correlate to the success or failure of a business. Thankfully, there are numerous tips and tricks that can help you generate more leads, increase your profits, and keep your business in good health.
At WSI Edmonton, one of our favourite lead generation tricks is creating effective landing pages that are clear in their intent, free from distractions, and effectively funnel visitors into leads. Landing pages, sometimes referred to as “lead capture pages”, are used to collect contact information from visitors and turn them into leads.
Landing pages are effective when they are simple – this means their intention is clear! An effective landing page will consist of a headline, a short description of the offer, a supporting image, and a form to capture information. Remember: you want your visitor to stay on your landing page. This means keeping the layout simple and free from distractions like navigational options that may cause visitors to click away prematurely.
In addition, the message of your landing page should be consistent. If visitors click on your link for a free offer, such as a product demo, then they’re expecting a product demo. If there is a catch, visitors may feel cheated and click away. To encourage visitors to trust you, make sure that your offer is exactly as advertised. Also, if you’re going to include a call-to-action, ensure that it encourages the visitor to take the same action as the landing page is designed to steer visitors towards.
